Vanilla eGift card says 'suspicious activity' when I try to check balance — anyone else?

Got a Vanilla Visa gift card as a gift and the balance checker keeps flagging it. Called support, 40 min hold. Did this happen to anyone else recently?

This is a known issue with a batch of vanilla egift cards issued in Q2, escalate to tier 2 support.
